Multivariate methods book resource page

On this page, you’ll find the spreadsheets that accompany my book "Applying Multivariate Methods using Excel", available on Amazon at this Amazon page.

For most people interested in multivariate methods, these methods are not the end goal, but a tool used to achieve a broader objective that is part of their studies or their job. However, to apply them, unless you are a trained mathematician or a statistician, this can be challenging. One of the reasons is that almost all of these methods have deep roots in linear algebra.

For this reason, I decided that the central element of this book should be Excel. Without using formal proofs or theorems, the book first introduces basic algebra, followed by the implementation of a number of multivariate methods, and all of this in Excel.

So, if you are interested in Principal Component Analysis, Factor Analysis, Discriminant Analysis, Multidimensional Scaling, and similar multivariate analysis methods, but want to avoid rigorous proofs and theorems, this might be a book for you.

Although you might not use Excel for large datasets that you are working on, this book, using Excel, will teach you how these methods are applied, why it all works, and how to interpret the results.

The spreadsheets that go with every chapter are available in this folder.
